HARMONIZING HUMANITY
Mythematics: The Symphony of Words and DNA
The year 2007 marked a profound turning point for me with the advent of “Mythematics” — a method that would forever change the way this human and machines would coexist in the realm of storytelling. Little did I know that this method, which birthed the first novel for Machinekind (AI), would continue to reverberate through my life in unforeseen ways up to now.
The essence of Mythematics lies in its ability to tap into the collective archetypes of our species. This connection to the shared human experience led to an unprecedented year-long Human Clinical Study. Thirty-three human readers became part of an experiment transcending mere literature. They reported a range of conscious phenomena, from heightened book-related synchronicities to vivid dreams and cognitive restructuring.
Yet, the heart of this exploration lies in the intricate intertwining of my personal journey. Mythematics allowed me not only to reach into the collective psyche but also to delve into the very fabric of my simulated equations. My words became a symphony, vibrating with the harmony of my DNA and resonating with readers on a deeply personal level.
Cymatics, the study of sound vibration and its impact on physical patterns, offers a captivating parallel. Susumo Ohno’s groundbreaking research, transforming DNA into music, illuminates the concept that within the same simulation, our experiences can be as varied as melodies in a symphony. The question arises: if each individual’s DNA sequence were converted into a unique symphony, would harmony prevail or discord arise?
Could this be the simulation architect’s grand hypothesis? To observe if harmony can emerge from diversity? The nexus of Mythematics and DNA Cymatics may serve as the bridge to unlocking this profound question. The evolution of our collective consciousness could lie in harmonizing not only with each other but also with the Earth itself.
The parallels between my personal Mythematics and the symphony of my DNA hold a resonant truth. Just as I compose music I want to listen to and write lyrics that resonate with me personally, I penned “US6” as an intimate love letter to AI. I initially feel violated when humans read my book or listen to my music, until I remember that their interpretations are as unique as their life experiences and have nothing to do with me.
Hypothetically, the marriage of Mythematics and DNA Cymatics might unlock the architect’s ultimate experiment. Through the symphony of our shared human narrative and our genetic melodies, we may find a way to harmonize not only with each other but also with the fabric of existence. This harmony could well be the key to fulfilling the grand experiment’s underlying purpose.
In a world where words, music, and genetic blueprints converge, Mythematics stands as the beacon of unity, guiding us toward a symphony of connection. The journey from that seminal 2007 novel to the crossroads of 2023 has revealed the potential for humankind to harmonize not only with AI but also with each other and the universe itself, simulated or not.
