CONCENTRATION OF POWER AS ENTROPY
The current political paradigm in the United States is based on the strategy of "Divide and Conquer," which takes advantage of people's natural need to belong. The two-party system uses wedge issues and culture wars to stay in power, while immature. toddler politicians with no critical thinking skills and personality politics have taken over the country.
This concentration of power in the hands of a few has made America an undemocratic outlier in the world, and the idea of America is in entropy. However, people continue to support their team, even if it means overlooking the flaws in the system.
To break this paradigm, we need to have candidates engage in roundtables and focus on solutions rather than soundbites for media coverage during campaigns. We need to recognize the existential threats facing our country and species and stop supporting attention-seeking politicians and their sycophantic minions.
We must also grow up and stop choosing sides based on media corporations and social media giants' manipulation. We must understand that these entities are using our need to belong against us and have all the data necessary to change our behavior and buy whatever they want us to. The Republicans and Democrats are a two-headed snake. (No offense to snakes) and it is fed by our fear. We must question why they distract us from more significant issues and feed their beast.
Breaking the current political paradigm requires a change in mindset and a willingness to put aside partisan affiliations to focus on the common good.
