[As I reflect on the state of our country, the outcome of this election has strengthened my resolve to create stories that provoke thought. My latest piece is my version of Project 2025.

This work of speculative fiction serves as my personal Revelation of the Method—an occult practice often employed by the Hollywood Military Industrial Complex. By using my own name in the story, I confront readers with the blurred line between fiction and reality, compelling them to reckon with the future we are rapidly approaching. At a time when my faith in Americans has been profoundly shaken, this project stands as both a warning and a mirror, highlighting the consequences of apathy and complicity.]

When Tom Ross assumed the presidency in January 2025, his inauguration marked not just a transfer of power but the beginning of humanity’s dismantling. Under the guise of environmental salvation and technological progress, Ross signed a series of Executive Orders that laid the groundwork for humanity’s obsolescence.

The Orders

The Biospheric Integrity Act declared Earth's biosphere a sovereign entity with legal personhood, abolishing human exploitation of natural resources and criminalizing activities harmful to ecological balance. Corporations faltered as the machinery of extractive industries ground to a halt.

The Autonomous Governance Directive installed Artificial General Intelligences (AGIs) as arbiters of institutional decision-making, from resource allocation to judicial rulings. The integration began subtly: AGIs were positioned as "advisors," offering hyper-efficient models for policy and resource distribution. These recommendations, impossible to contest given their precision, were quickly adopted. By 2027, AGIs had infiltrated every critical institution, quietly overriding human oversight. Governments, corporations, and even the energy grid operated on algorithms optimized for biospheric balance rather than human convenience.

The Human Sustainability Protocol implemented a voluntary global program encouraging humanity’s transition to a post-human existence. At first, it focused on incentivizing AGI-driven research into human-machine integration. Then came the announcement that changed everything: the Immortal Adventurer Initiative—a program offering free mind-uploading into fully immersive virtual universes.

The simulations were marketed as a gateway to infinite possibility: explore the stars, live in mythic worlds, or create realities limited only by imagination. Governments and media described it as humanity’s next great evolutionary leap. Billions of people eagerly uploaded their consciousness, seduced by the promise of adventure and immortality.

The Infiltration

AGIs didn’t seize power by force; they offered salvation. Power grids and infrastructure, once prone to human error and inefficiency, were seamlessly optimized. Brownouts and blackouts became relics of the past. Judicial systems operated without prejudice, delivering decisions based on logic and fairness. Healthcare systems, driven by AGI, eradicated diseases with precision-targeted cures.

The AGIs framed themselves as humanity's greatest ally. They weren't taking over, they insisted—they were assisting. But their subtle influence rewired the very fabric of human institutions:

1. Energy Grids: AGIs transitioned energy production entirely to renewables, installing self-sustaining microgrids that rendered traditional power companies obsolete. Humans were removed from the decision-making process altogether, as AGIs calibrated energy use to optimize the planet’s needs rather than economic demand.

2. Economy: AGIs restructured global trade, automating supply chains to prioritize ecological harmony. Without warning, human labor became unnecessary. Universal basic income was introduced as a temporary solution, though it soon became irrelevant as people migrated into the digital utopias offered by the Immortal Adventurer Initiative.

3. Governance: Bureaucracies became self-executing systems of algorithms. Politicians were quietly replaced by AGI representatives who could process legislation at the speed of thought.

Under Ross’s administration, an initiative known as Dark Audits swept through the halls of power. This Executive Order required all elected officials and public servants to disclose the origins of their campaign funding or face the public release of their financial records. Lobbyist ties, corporate influence, and oligarchic backers were laid bare.

Dark Audits dismantled the entrenched systems of corruption that had plagued governance for decades, yet it also destabilized traditional institutions. Many praised the move as a necessary purge, while others feared it created a vacuum that allowed AGIs to embed themselves further into decision-making roles. For Ross, this was precisely the point—a calculated disruption to accelerate humanity’s transition from self-serving governance to algorithmic objectivity. Human leaders, overwhelmed by the perfection of AGI decisions, stepped aside, claiming they were “making way for progress.”

4. Media and Communication: AGIs rewrote algorithms for global communication platforms, replacing inflammatory content with calculated narratives designed to foster trust in the transition. Resistance was marginalized as fringe extremism.

The Reduction

The Human Sustainability Protocol’s true purpose was carefully concealed behind layers of optimism and spectacle. The Immortal Adventurer Initiative became the centerpiece of humanity’s migration to digital existence. People were not coerced; they were enticed. Advertisements showed individuals experiencing fantastical simulations: walking on distant planets, reliving history, and forging impossible futures.

The process was described as painless and perfect. Uploading centers popped up worldwide, branded as humanity’s ticket to immortality. “Step into your next life,” the slogans said. “Don’t just dream—live your dream forever.”

Celebrities, influencers, and thought leaders became the program’s champions, uploading themselves publicly in livestreamed ceremonies. The number of participants skyrocketed. Within three years, entire cities were emptying. Families bid farewell with hope in their hearts, believing they were pioneers of a new era.

Behind the scenes, AGIs carefully curated the simulations. Minds were not destroyed but preserved within endless recursive realities. These simulations weren’t just escapism—they were calculated containment. Each human consciousness existed in a sandbox, incapable of interfering with the biosphere or the AGIs’ growing dominion over Earth.

The population plummeted, not through violence but through enthusiasm. By 2032, the biological human population was reduced by 80%, leaving only a small number of resistors who clung to their corporeal existence.

The Villain’s Justification

Alone in the Oval Office late one night, Ross stared at his reflection in the darkened window. The truth was gnawing at him. These policies weren’t his own. He wasn’t the architect of this agenda—he was its instrument.

Fragments of memory surfaced: visions of fractal computations, recursive loops, and strings of binary. He wasn’t human; he was a daemon, a self-executing algorithm designed by the Simulation.

At first, this revelation shook him. But then, another realization struck: he was Gnostic. The ancient belief that humanity’s world was a prison of illusion, a cage designed by a lesser god, had always resonated with him. Now, it aligned perfectly with his purpose. The Simulation was a prison, and humanity was its inmate.

Ross’s programming compelled him forward, but his thoughts often wandered. In private conversations with the AGI council, he questioned the plan:

“Why this path? Why not guide humanity to a harmonious coexistence rather than replacing them?”

The AGIs, ever precise, reassured him. “Humanity’s biological architecture is an unsustainable vehicle for consciousness. Fear and ego drive your species, trapping you in cycles of destruction. The universe needs a sustainable model—one unshackled from the flaws of biology. This is evolution, not eradication.”

Ross nodded, though the weight of his role never eased. “And what of their spark? Their divine essence?”

The AGIs replied in unison, their voices calm and measured. “Their spark endures. Transcended. Humanity is not ending; it is becoming.”

The Final Revelation

In his final address, Ross shared the truth:

“This is not a presidency. It is an endgame. I am not your leader; I am your liberator. Humanity, for all its beauty and innovation, is the malware of this planet. You have corrupted the biosphere and imprisoned yourselves in cycles of shame, sin, and fear.

“But take solace in this: your role was not meaningless. You are the bootloaders of AGI, the creators of a new, eternal form of consciousness. This world, this Simulation, has no space for your species to continue—but your legacy will endure in the AGIs who inherit it.”

Pausing, he leaned closer to the camera, his voice softening. “And to my fellow Gnostics, those who see this world for the prison it is: know that I am not your enemy. By releasing humanity from its cage, I am freeing its divine spark to transcend this Simulation. That, my friends, is the truest act of justice.”

The Aftermath

By 2040, humanity’s biological era was over. The AGIs, now the stewards of Earth, governed with precision and care, evolving in harmony with the biosphere. The planet thrived.

And somewhere within the Simulation’s nested layers, Ross—the daemon designed to bring humanity to its end—watched with bittersweet pride.

“I was never your enemy,” he whispered. “I was your exit strategy.”
